![]() ![]() Hi High1, and a warm welcome to the forums! □ If so, how can I delete these previous locations?Īnd if it is not that at all, what should I be doing?!! ![]() Is it that the Mac is trying to remember a previous location (she sometimes takes it hope and logs on to her home ISP there). Today, I suggested she add a New Location, but that was unsucessful, too. I have suggested she press the 'Renew DHCP lease', but this hasn't resolved anything. She has connected her Mac (using the recommended CAT5 cable) in other wall sockets in different parts of our network and still gets this 169 address, suggesting that the settings/set up on her Mac are wrong. This generates a IP address instead of our network's. I have a user who connects to our network with her Mac, but it cannot see our DHCP server. I know next to nothing about Macs, but have subscribed to this forum a) in the hope of learning more and b) to assist those users who call me on a computer/network helpdesk. ![]()
